This guy seems to love nettles, at least he kept still until I could take this shoot 😉 In German it’s a “Laubfalter”, at least using the very nice web page “Die Schmetterlinge Deutschlands” lets me think so. I found him in Technologiepark, right where I described it to be a nice place to spot them in this post.
So instead of going to Burg Altena again we decided to tour around in Dortmund. It’s hard to enumerate all the places we’ve seen today but I’ll try 😉

On Sunday I promised to give a guided tour to a couchsurfer who was visiting Dortmund. I announced the tour on the day before but in the end it’s only been the two of us, what is there to say it was stress-free that way 🙂
So most of the pictures are similar to the ones I already took but then it’s been April weather in August yesterday so at least the lightning is different. And also, if you look closely at one of the flower pics taken in Phoenix-West, you’ll find an insect I’d categorize as “cabbage white butterfly” 🙂

Today during lunch break I was trying to take pictures of butterflies. Only one let me take a picture, I guess its name is Speckled Wood (Waldbrettspiel, Laubfalter).

If you’re like me you enjoy watching butterflies (today when I did not have my camera with me due to charging my mobile a couple of them even sat down in front of me), at least in Dortmund I’ve been to a good spot during my lunch break, in the Technologiepark between Hauert / Universitätsstraße / Joseph-von-Fraunhofer-Straße / Otto-Hahn-Straße. The small wood sported different kinds of butterflies 🙂
